Dave Black is executive vice president of operations for Marco’s Pizza (Marco’s Franchising, LLC). He oversees all aspects of store operations and supports company growth and expansion.
Black joined Marco’s Pizza in 2006, excited about the growth potential he saw. He was impressed with the product and the executive team of industry veterans that CEO Jack Butorac had assembled.
Black brings a wealth of industry experience to Marco’s Pizza, having spent 34 years with Domino’s Pizza Corporation (Domino’s) in a number of roles. He started as a day shift manager, became a single-unit franchisee and then joined the Domino’s corporate office, where he was promoted to regional director of the Southeast in 1978. Black later served as Domino’s vice president of operations for eight years, then as president and chief operating officer from 1989 to 1991. In addition, Black was a multi-unit Domino’s franchisee for 15 years.
Most recently, Black spent eight years as the owner and operator of Ann Arbor’s Champion Gymnastics.
His favorite Marco’s pizza topping is a toss-up between pepperoni and sausage.
