  • Typically 1200- 1400 square feet for Carry-Out and Delivery store. Stores with dining will require slightly more space depending on number of seats.

-    Marco’s University:   A web-based, interactive tool that offers a unique learning approach and standardizing operations

-    Corporate Indoctrination: Six day class at the Corporate Office in Toledo, Ohio. where abilities, skills and retention are measured and validated plus additional information on the responsibilities of owning a Marco’s Pizza store. Insurance issues, accounting, marketing, operations, POS, equipment supply and customer service.

-    Final Review/Test:   Weekly quizzes, time trials and final evaluations

-    Duration: Depending on the time it takes to properly prepare the candidate, the on-the-job and class room training can last from 3-8 weeks.

Getting Started – 6 Month Launch Program
New Franchisees are provided access to a regimented 6 Month Launch program that starts 6 weeks prior to opening and continues 6 Months post opening, which includes a purposefully timed mix of various marketing mediums that have been tracked for their return on investment and effectiveness. This is done with two ultimate objectives:
1. Help the new store jump off to a healthy start
2. Provide a cushion of time for the Franchisee to master Operations .

Local Store Marketing Support
Retaining Customers and Acquiring Customers are the two dominant ongoing areas of marketing focus. Franchisees can access help with all aspects of Local Store Marketing through direct conversation with staff who have years of Local Store Marketing expertise, and Ciao Net (Marco’s intranet) where an impressive array of tools and information is maintained.

Ongoing Branding and Marketing Support
A wide range of ongoing branding services are maintained by the Marketing team including such things as design of shared mail print each month (OSI or FSI), food photography worthy of Marco’s product, design of all other print and digital branding or even the Marco’s Email Club.
